About Jess

First trained as a large format photographer through college and first job in industrial and scientific imaging for N.A.S.A., but also had an art degree and always did illustrative and people imaging on my own. Eventually broke away to work and travel as a Photgrapher/Photo Illustrator/Photo Editor for various magazines out of Los Angeles for seven years, that is until I settled down and moved to the midwest to began a family.

Photography Equipment

On here are pictures that have been taken with basic Nikon and Minolta 35mm SLRs; Haselblad 2.25"; 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 view cameras; and Canon Rebel digital cameras. I also love to rework my images, must be the illustrator in me. Originally using photo oils (a tradition in my family that goes back to my parents photography work in the 1940s) but now learning to do it in photoshop.
